Canadian visual media assets leveraging specialist North Plains Systems has completed the acquisition of London-based Vyre, a provider of marketing resource management and brand asset management software packages.

The successful business negotiations between the two mean the customers of both firms should benefit from enhanced creative marketing, making full use of modern media techniques to maximise profits, North Plains said.

Its president and chief executive James Christopher said: "This acquisition continues our rigorous focus on enabling North Plains customers to better connect and engage with their target audience by unleashing the power of their visual media."

The stated aim of the move is to help busy marketers bring campaigns from the drawing board to the market in less time, enabling them to handle increasingly busy schedules.

It is the first acquisition made by North Plains since last April, when it bought Xinet, a US-based developer of server software for professionals working in the graphics sector.
